Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Architects Selected

Published by Leave your thoughts

The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City announced the winner of its architectural competition for its upcoming expansion. Weiss/Manfredi has been selected to design a complex series of interventions aiming to create a more open, accessible, and welcoming museum — a “Nelson for All.” ASLLC undertook a year-long process of listening, analysis, retreats and workshops to help lay the conceptual underpinnings of the project. We collaborated with Cooper Robertson in the spacial planning phase, paving the way for the competition led by Malcolm Reading.
