Event Museum Initiative Dataland: A New Museum of AI Art Opens in Los Angeles

June 2026 saw the opening of Dataland, Refik Anadol and Efsun Erkilic’s new museum of AI art in Los Angeles. The first-of-its kind institution, several years in development, features multisensory productions from Refik Anadol Studio and adds to Los Angeles’s cultural ecosystem, taking its place next to The Broad, MOCA, Disney Hall, and City Center. András Szántó LLC assistant in the conceptualization and development of Dataland over a two year period. During the June 13 inauguration event for Dataland András Szántó conducted a moderated conversation with the founders, with some 250 local cultural leaders and Dataland supporters and collaborators in attendance. Museum Initiative András Szántó Appointed AEFI Advisor

The Artist-Endowed Foundations Initiative (AEFI), a program of the Aspen Institute, has appointed András Szántó as an Advisor as part of a new cohort of thought and practice leaders supporting the organization’s 2026–2030 strategic plan. AEFI Advisors contribute to the development of the initiative’s research, publications, educational programs, leadership convenings, and collegial networks focused on advancing the stewardship and philanthropic impact of Artist-Endowed Foundations.
