András Szántó will moderate “The museum as interdisciplinary hub,” an Art Basel Conversation with Sam Bardaouil (Director, Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart) and Ligia Lewis (artist, choreographer, and director, Los Angeles and Berlin). András Szántó was invited as a speaker on the panel “The New Age of storytelling” alongside Clotilde Entrecanales (Head of Experiences, ACCIONA Cultura), Nicolas Helly (Managing Director Iberia, Cartier) and Manuel Román (Senior Marketing Director of Spain and Portugal, NETFLIX). He also moderated the keynote “Can machines dream about art? Refik Anadol on art and technology” with artist Refik Anadol and the panel “Future roles at the museum. András Szántó moderated a discussion at M+ museum in Hong Kong on March 25, 2024, exploring responses to rapidly advancing digital technologies in the arts. The session surveyed how artists and art institutions are engaging with new digital tools. The speakers included the Los Angeles-based AI artist Refik Anadol; Thomas P. Campbell, Director of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; Maholo Uchida, curator at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Tokyo; and Centre Pompidou digital curator Marcella Lista.
